Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is a maker-described soft-fruit housing filter essential in the exact package?
The AG-5500SFH offer includes a separate soft-fruit housing filter. Its manual describes larger holes for softer produce; this is not a measured extraction or yield claim.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you want a powered twin-gear masticating juicer with alternate filter housings?
Angel lists the powered twin-gear system with both standard and soft-fruit housings; use one assembled housing at a time.
Explore this need in the finder →Is documented pomegranate use important without requiring a measured 32 fl oz vessel?
The manual names pomegranate with the standard housing. Package cups have no stated volume, so a hard 32 fl oz floor is not confirmed.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need dishwasher-safe removable juicing parts but not an unverified SANI cycle?
The manual allows the twin gears, housing filters and splash guard in a dishwasher; it does not establish a high-heat SANI cycle or every cup’s status.
Explore this need in the finder →The U.S. Angel 5500SFH is the AG-5500 twin-gear juicer sold with a second, soft-fruit housing filter in the box. That extra screen is its defining difference from the standard AG-5500 package. Consider this configuration if you regularly process watery or softer fruit and want the manufacturer-listed filter on hand; do not read the accessory as a separate juicer, an automatic reverse upgrade, or a measured increase in juice.
What the SFH suffix changes
Angel Juicer America identifies this offer as model AG-5500SFH, UPC 195893238194 and SKU AGUS5500AB21SFH for the U.S. 110–120 V / 60 Hz option. The exact box list includes both the standard housing filter and the soft-fruit housing filter. On the separate AG-5500 page, Angel explicitly marks the extra soft-fruit filter “Not Included.” This is a package and functional-attachment distinction, not just a finish code, so check the SFH suffix on the offer rather than assuming every 5500 comes with both filters.
The SFH page describes the extra filter for watery ingredients such as pineapple, lemon, berries, cucumber and tomato. Angel’s manual says its larger holes suit softer produce. This is a package/setup difference, not a yield test. The standard AG-5500 may suffice for firmer produce; SFH adds this separate filter for softer ingredients.
One base, two housing setups
The motor base and twin gears are the same AG-5500 system: 180 watts, 82 rpm, masticating extraction and maker-listed SUS-304 steel for the gears, housing filters and splash guard. The two housings are used as alternate assemblies, not simultaneous routes or a second appliance. Stop and unplug before swapping them, then reassemble and feed prepared produce gradually. The box also includes a glass juice cup, two plastic juice-and-pulp cups, pusher and brushes; Angel gives no receiver volumes.
The main control caution carries over: the exact SFH page says automatic reverse is “NO” and lists a manual reverse system. The shared Angel manual describes a safety stop if the chute is overloaded; after a stop, the operator presses Reverse to clear food and then presses Start. The product page’s “Operation: Automatic” label refers to powered operation, not automatic jam reversal. If automatic reverse matters, the shared manual lists that control on the 7500 and 8500 instead.
Plan the ingredients and the extra equipment
Both housings require preparation. The manual says to seat the filter, secure its clamp and splash guard, place separate juice and pulp cups, then feed ingredients at their processing pace with the wooden pusher. Do not force a packed chute or use a utensil. Angel’s drawing labels a four-inch rim and 1.5-inch pipe; those are not a straight clearance measurement or whole-fruit guarantee.
The product page names wheatgrass, and the manual documents pomegranate with the standard housing. For daily wheatgrass, it recommends a separate housing that is not in this box; the soft-fruit filter is not a substitute. The included cups also have no stated capacity.
Run, rinse and store it deliberately
The manual lists a 30-minute recommended run and says to allow a couple of minutes to cool after around every 30 minutes. It does not document a 30-minute automatic shutoff. If the overheat sensor stops the motor, the maker’s troubleshooting page separately advises leaving power on for 20 minutes so the cooling fan can run. That is a recovery step after an overheat event, not the normal rest interval.
Angel says the twin gears, either housing filter and splash guard may go in a dishwasher. The two filters and gears still need prompt removal and rinsing; the manual warns that residue can leave mineral deposits. SANI approval and every cup’s status are not confirmed. Keep water away from the base, and choose another documented design if known high-heat sanitizing is essential.
Check fit and written terms before ordering
For the base AG-5500, Angel’s page lists a 19.5 × 7.75 × 10.5-inch body and 20.8-pound weight; the shared manual table gives 20 × 7.5 × 11 inches and about 12 kg / 26.45 pounds. Those dimensions and weights conflict, and the manual does not label the table’s axis order. The added filter does not remove that uncertainty. Measure and lift the exact unit if counter clearance or handling is a hard constraint.
For direct or authorized-dealer purchases, Angel’s checked policy lists ten years of limited motor-base coverage and five years for the housing filter, twin gear and splash guard. Consumables are excluded; coverage is non-transferable and limited to the original purchaser’s household use. Confirm the seller’s written terms.
Who should choose this package?
The 5500SFH is the stronger package choice than the standard 5500 when the included soft-fruit housing filter is an actual need, not simply a photo or a vague promise of better extraction. In the finder, the masticating process, supplied soft-fruit housing, documented pomegranate use, an included receiver, dishwasher-safe removable juicing parts and a 30-minute session floor can all fit the same powered twin-gear arrangement. It still cannot meet a 32-ounce receiver minimum, confirm a hard counter-fit limit or meet an automatic-reverse or SANI-cycle requirement. It also does not include the separate wheatgrass filter that the manual recommends for daily wheatgrass use.
Choose the standard Angel 5500 AG-5500 if the extra housing is not useful; the core motor and manual-reverse routine are shared. For automatic reverse, compare the maker’s 7500 and 8500 pages, noting the latter’s different listed steel grade. For a different slow-juicer mechanism with a published 24-ounce receiver, the Hamilton Beach 67951 is a single-auger alternative.

Key details at a glance
| Extraction method | Slow-compression masticating extractor |
|---|---|
| Maker-listed gear/filter/guard grade | SUS-304 |
| Pulp bin placement | External side bin |
| Speed control | Single-speed on/off |
| Motor electrical rating | 180 W |

| Cleanup note | Unplug before disassembly. The manual recommends cleaning gears and the housing filter under warm running water immediately after juicing to reduce mineral residue, and names a scraper and brushes for the filter and gears. It permits the gears, housing filter and splash guard in a dishwasher; this does not remove the need to dismantle and rinse the assembly promptly. |
| Manufacturer jug label | The exact box list includes one Angel glass juice cup and large and medium plastic juice-and-pulp cups, but no volume is stated. They are receiving vessels, not an extracted-yield promise. |
| Product-page listed width; check source note | 7.75 in |
| Product-page listed height; check source note | 10.5 in |
| Fast/firm juicing guidance | The manual lists 30 minutes as the recommended running time and says to allow the juicer to cool a couple of minutes after around every 30 minutes. It does not document an automatic 30-minute cutoff; the matcher value is the documented interval, not a throughput test or hard motor-stop claim. |
| Supplied cup nozzle | No |
| Blender mode on the same base | No |
| Body-fit measurement note | The exact product page lists 19.5 L x 7.75 W x 10.5 H inches. The shared manual table gives 20 x 7.5 x 11 inches but does not label the table's axis order; its separate schematic is captioned measurements in mm. Because the reported dimensions do not agree, hard clearance matching is left unknown. |
| Electrical-rating caveat | The exact U.S. page lists an 180 W electrical motor and 82 rpm. These manufacturer specifications are not independent tests of yield, sound level, texture or durability. |
| Filter configuration | Stainless housing filter |
| Hand-powered operation | No |
| Pomegranate use listed for this exact model | Yes |
| Continuous operation before rest | 30 min |
| Removable parts dishwasher-safe per manual | Yes |
