Hurom model comparison
Hurom H-AI vs H-AE vs H-AF: hoppers, screens and accessories
Comparison · Hurom Alpha family
The H-AI, H-AE and H-AF share a Hurom Alpha lineage but are not the same package or finish-coded product. The H-AI's distinctive choice is its Smart self-feeding hopper or its manually fed Dual Hopper. The H-AE and H-AF have single Alpha hopper setups and a separate accessory list that includes a motor-driven citrus cone and tofu press. Compare the exact model, manual and condition rather than assuming “Alpha” means interchangeable parts.
Start with the H-AE assessment, H-AF assessment and H-AI assessment. Each link covers an exact U.S. product page and the corresponding finish/SKU evidence.
What changes in the feeding routine
Hurom's U.S. H-AI page names two included hoppers: a Smart Hopper that chops and pushes down loaded ingredients, and a Dual Hopper that uses a pusher through a 50 mm (2 in) top opening with a side chute. The Smart Hopper's listed inlet is 127 mm (5 in), but its produce-volume capacity is not published. These are alternate assemblies: the wide self-feeding opening belongs to the Smart Hopper; it is not the opening used in the manual-fed arrangement. Neither is an assurance that all produce goes in whole.
The H-AE Navy H-AE-NBB19 and H-AF Wine H-AF-EBB19 pages document a 50 mm (2 in) opening and manual pusher feeding. They are separate products, even though Hurom assigns both the same H-AF/H-AE household manual. If your priority is fewer repeated hand-feeding steps, only the H-AI's Smart Hopper provides the documented self-feeding path of this trio. If you prefer selecting each ingredient, the H-AI's Dual Hopper, H-AE or H-AF all retain a manual-feed route.
Similar chamber figure; different controls and accessories
All three product pages identify a 500 ml internal chamber; none uses that figure as the separate juice-pitcher capacity. Hurom lists the H-AI at 200 W and 60 RPM, versus the H-AE/H-AF at 150 W with a 43 RPM auger and 17 RPM spinning brush. Each uses one listed juicing speed and manual reverse. Those are nameplate/control differences, not independent evidence that one extracts faster, quieter or more efficiently. Each package lists fine and coarse strainers.
H-AE and H-AF's U.S. product lists explicitly include an ice-cream strainer, tofu press and motor-driven citrus squeezer set. Their shared manual gives separate assembly steps for those jobs. The H-AI package instead lists the two hoppers, fine/coarse screens, twin-leaf auger, chamber, mixing bar, containers and cleaning tools. Its page's material table names an ice-cream-strainer material, but the exact package and parts list do not clearly confirm that part as included. The H-AI manual likewise gives an ice-cream operating note without identifying a separate dessert strainer in its parts inventory. Treat a specific frozen-fruit or citrus attachment as unconfirmed on H-AI unless the seller confirms the exact box contents.
Care, use limits and current listing status
All three require preparation and hand cleaning. H-AI's manual says no more than 30 minutes per session, with a five-minute rest after 30 minutes, and prohibits dishwasher or dish-dryer cleaning. The combined H-AE/H-AF manual says less than 30 minutes; it also prohibits washing the full assembly in a dishwasher. These limits matter if uninterrupted runs or machine-washable parts are essential.
Hurom marked the three H-AI finish SKUs—Slate Blue H-AI-UBB20, Platinum Silver H-AI-SBB20 and Rose Gold H-AI-LBB20—sold out on the check date. H-AE Navy H-AE-NBB19 was also sold out; H-AF Wine H-AF-EBB19 was shown available in the captured product data, although that can change. H-AF's page says 10.42 kg (22.9 lb) while the shared manual gives 6.5 kg (14.3 lb). H-AI has its own 23 lb page versus 14.1 lb manual conflict, and its page/manual warranty statements differ. Do not filter either by a hard lifting-weight or warranty requirement without a manufacturer answer. Stock and seller terms must be checked at the time of purchase.
Which one matches your needs?
The H-AI is the relevant model if its batch-style Smart Hopper is the deciding feature and you can accept unknown batch volume, a tall self-feeding assembly and hand cleanup. The H-AE or H-AF is more relevant if you specifically want its documented frozen-fruit strainer, tofu press or powered citrus cone; those extra setups do not create the H-AI's wide self-feeding route. If neither package distinction changes what you will juice, compare the exact offers and current support terms instead of paying for unused accessories. The published evidence is product-page and manual information, not hands-on testing of yield, texture, noise or service life.
