Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need a vertical auger rather than a centrifugal basket?
The exact H-AE page and shared H-AF/H-AE household manual show a powered vertical auger with separate strainers, not a centrifugal basket.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a manufacturer-documented frozen-fruit setup essential?
The exact H-AE package includes an ice-cream strainer; the shared manual says to use cut frozen fruit, not ice cubes or hard blocks.
Explore this need in the finder →Would a 500 ml internal chamber meet your minimum without treating it as the pitcher?
Hurom lists 500 ml / 16.9 fl oz for the H-AE Alpha Chamber, but gives no separate container capacity.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the fine/coarse package meet a required coarse-screen setup?
The exact H-AE page lists both fine and coarse strainers; the shared manual describes coarse-screen use for a thicker, pulpier route.
Explore this need in the finder →Will a conservative 1.95-inch published feed-opening threshold meet your need?
Hurom lists 50 mm / 2 in; converting from millimeters and rounding down conservatively yields a 1.95-inch matching threshold, not a whole-fruit promise.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the whole removable juicing kit be dishwasher-safe?
No. The H-AF/H-AE manual directs hand cleaning and prohibits dishwasher use; Hurom's general FAQ allows only the auger in a dishwasher.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a strict 30-minute uninterrupted session essential?
The U.S. page says up to 30 minutes, but the shared manual says less than 30. A strict 30-minute run is not confirmed; the conservative numeric ceiling used here is 29 whole minutes.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need a separate citrus-cone attachment on the same motor base?
The exact package lists a Squeezer Set, and the shared H-AF/H-AE manual instructs halving citrus, placing a half flesh-side down on the cone, and running the base. It is not a hand lever press.
Explore this need in the finder →Hurom · vertical slow juicer
The H-AE is a compact, one-speed vertical auger model whose value is in its exact kit: fine and coarse strainers, a frozen-fruit strainer, a tofu press and a separate squeezer accessory. Its 500 ml Alpha Chamber is an internal working chamber, not a large juice pitcher. Hurom's U.S. page showed the Navy H-AE-NBB19 as sold out when checked, so keep it in view as a reference model rather than assuming a current retail offer.
One exact H-AE configuration
Hurom's U.S. product-data record maps the H-AE page to one Navy finish, SKU H-AE-NBB19. The manufacturer's page calls it a limited-edition H-AE Slow Juicer; its captured product object marked that exact variant unavailable, and the page itself displayed Sold Out. The official product gallery image used here is the Navy version mapped on that page. Hurom does not identify whether the image is photography or a render. This is not a second H-AF finish option: Hurom maintains a separate H-AF product page and different Wine SKU.
What the main juicing setup does
For juice, the H-AE uses a single-leaf squeezing screw, spinning brush, chamber and a choice of fine or coarse strainer. Hurom lists 43 RPM for the screw and 17 RPM for the brush, driven by a 120 V, 60 Hz, 150 W AC motor. The fine and coarse screens are a real choice in the kit; Hurom describes them as routes for clearer versus thicker, pulpier preparations. They are not variable motor speeds, and the manufacturer does not publish a measured pulp percentage or comparative yield. The ON/OFF control and manual reverse are operating controls, not ingredient-sensing automation.
The hopper opening is listed at 50 mm (2 in), but that rounded inch figure should not be treated as an exact two-inch opening. It is a feed opening, not a promise that whole produce fits. The manual gives its own peeling, pitting, cutting and loading guidance; for example, it warns against hard fruit pits and calls for fibrous produce to be cut down. Feed with the provided pusher and do not force a heavy load. The listed 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) is chamber capacity. Separate juice and pulp containers are included, but Hurom does not state their capacities, so the chamber number cannot answer a pitcher-size question.
The extra parts are specific, not universal
The exact H-AE package list includes the fine and coarse strainers, an ice-cream strainer, tofu press, drying rack, squeezer set, chamber, separate juice and pulp containers, brushes, pusher and manual/recipe book. The squeezer set is a motor-driven citrus cone: the shared manual says to halve citrus, set a half on the cone and run the base. It is not the hand-powered bowl-and-arm press category, and it processes prepared halves rather than whole citrus fruit. The manual also gives a distinct tofu routine. For the frozen-fruit strainer, use prepared frozen fruit in small pieces, not water-frozen ice cubes or hard blocks, and follow its separate assembly sequence. These extra jobs do not make the H-AE a high-volume food processor. A buyer seeking a specific tool should match the included part and instructions, rather than assuming every Hurom Alpha-generation machine takes the same accessories.
Counter, time and cleaning tradeoffs
Hurom lists body dimensions of 270 × 180 × 430 mm (10.6 × 7.1 × 16.9 in) and a product weight of 6.5 kg (14.3 lb); the shared H-AF/H-AE manual gives those same metric dimensions and weight. The official dimension order is width, length, height, so allow room for the tall hopper and for placing the included containers and feeding produce. Do not confuse the shipping carton dimensions with the appliance footprint.
There is a small but important run-time wording difference: the product page says up to 30 minutes continuously, while the shared manual's rating says less than 30 minutes. Treat 30 as a ceiling, not a guaranteed uninterrupted session; a strict 30-minute minimum is not established. The machine has a manual reverse for a stall. Stop and wait for the screw to stop before switching direction, and never disassemble the chamber while it is running. The manual requires hand-cleaning and says not to put the parts in a dishwasher, dryer or microwave. Hurom's general FAQ says only the auger is dishwasher-safe; that does not make the full food-contact kit dishwasher-safe. If hands-off cleanup is essential, this is a poor fit.
Who should consider it?
The H-AE is most relevant to someone who wants a small-chamber, single-speed auger with a defined fine/coarse juice choice and expects to use its included frozen-fruit or tofu parts. It is less suitable if you want a batch hopper, a documented large pitcher, variable speed, sensor-controlled feeding, dishwasher-safe assembly or a precise 30-minute run guarantee. Its visible sellout matters: there is no claim here that it is in stock simply because the product page remains online. If you're comparing it with the current H-AF, the documented mechanism and kit are very similar, but the products are separate model/SKU pages and the H-AF is the Wine-finish H-AF-EBB19. If the H-AE cannot be found as an exact offer, the more widely available H-AA is a separate model with its own current finish mapping and manual; don't assume it is an H-AE replacement or that all parts interchange.
The current U.S. page and shared household manual state a 10-year motor and two-year other-parts warranty, subject to Hurom's terms, authorized-purchase and proof conditions. Confirm the terms for an exact seller and serial-numbered machine. No personal ownership, measured noise, measured juice yield, actual pulp dryness or durability test is claimed here; this review translates the maker's exact model page and manual into fit and operating consequences.
