A useful fit for

Consider the H-AI if a real choice between its 5-inch Smart Hopper and manually fed Dual Hopper matters, and you accept an unmeasured batch volume, hand cleanup and a 30-minute operating ceiling.

The main tradeoff

Hurom marked all three exact U.S. finish SKUs sold out. The product page and manual disagree sharply on appliance weight and warranty; neither fact should pass a hard requirement without written clarification.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Would a supplied self-feeding hopper change your routine?

The exact H-AI page and manual document a Smart Hopper that chops and advances ingredients; a measured capacity is not published.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is a published five-inch Smart Hopper opening essential?

Hurom lists the Smart Hopper at 127 mm / 5 in, separate from the Dual Hopper’s 50 mm upper chute; opening width does not promise whole-produce fit.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does the H-AI meet a 16.9 fl oz minimum internal chamber?

The exact page and manual list a 500 ml / 16.9 fl oz internal chamber, not a collection vessel.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can you use a strict 30-minute continuous session?

The manual supports up to 30 minutes, followed by five minutes of rest after each full 30-minute run.

Explore this need in the finder →
Do the listed fine and coarse strainers fit your preferred screen options?

The exact H-AI package and manual parts list identify fine and coarse screens.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is hand washing acceptable for the removable juicing parts?

The H-AI manual directs hand cleaning and prohibits dishwasher and dish-dryer use.

Explore this need in the finder →
Do you need a manufacturer-published batch-hopper volume?

Hurom identifies the self-feeding Smart Hopper but gives no exact volume; an unknown capacity must not satisfy a minimum.

Explore this need in the finder →
Do you need a weight or warranty figure reconciled across the exact page and manual?

The product page and manual disagree on appliance weight and warranty terms, so hard requirements on either remain unconfirmed.

Hurom · vertical slow juicer

The H-AI stands out in Hurom's Alpha-family lineup for a choice of two hopper assemblies: a self-feeding hopper that chops and advances a loaded batch, or a conventional dual hopper for gradual manual feeding. Both options still require prep and hand washing. Hurom's U.S. page marked all three H-AI finish SKUs sold out on October 24, 2026; this is a documented model review, not a claim of current availability.

Three finish codes, one documented product

Hurom's exact U.S. page calls the product the H-AI Slow Juicer. Its product-data record lists Slate Blue H-AI-UBB20, Platinum Silver H-AI-SBB20 and Rose Gold H-AI-LBB20, each as a separate unavailable finish variant on the date checked. The gallery identifies the blue image used here; Hurom does not say whether it is a photograph or render. The page marks every finish sold out, so this is a reference model, not an in-stock recommendation.

Choose the hopper that matches the job

The Smart Hopper is the hands-off feeding option: Hurom says its internal blade chops and pushes down ingredients. Hurom lists its opening at 127 mm (5 in) and shows marked fill limits, but gives no hopper volume. The width is not a promise that whole produce fits; the manual still requires preparation and hard-seed removal. A specific batch capacity therefore remains unconfirmed.

The included Dual Hopper is the alternate, manually fed assembly. It uses a smaller 50 mm (2 in) upper opening plus a side chute and supplied pusher. It suits ingredient-by-ingredient feeding or nut-milk preparation. Install one hopper at a time; the wide inlet is not part of the Dual Hopper setup. Both modes use the same 120 V, 60 Hz, 200 W motor and 60 RPM auger. Reverse is momentary manual jam clearing, not an automatic mode.

Screen choice and chamber size

The box and manual list fine and coarse strainers; Hurom describes the coarse screen as a thicker, pulpier route, not a tested texture result. The 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) figure is the internal chamber, not the juice container. Separate juice and pulp containers are included, but their volumes and the hopper capacity are unlisted. A one-quart pitcher need is therefore not verified.

The product-page material table mentions a material for an ice-cream strainer, and the dual-hopper manual gives an ice-cream control instruction, but neither the exact box list nor the manual parts inventory clearly identifies a separate ice-cream strainer as included. I would not select the H-AI for a required dessert attachment without a written package confirmation. The same exact box list names no citrus cone or tofu press, unlike the H-AE/H-AF package pages; those functions are not confirmed for this H-AI offer.

Preparation, timing and cleanup are still hands-on

For celery and other long, tough-fiber stalks, the manual recommends cuts of about 3 cm, and it calls for removing hard pits and mixing very soft banana with firmer or watery produce. Respect MAX and high-water marks. For extraction over 400 ml, it says to open the lever every 400 ml to release pulp. For a jam, turn reverse for 3–5 seconds and wait for motion to stop before resuming.

Hurom's H-AI manual permits no more than 30 minutes of operation at a time and calls for a five-minute pause after each 30-minute run. It directs users to disassemble and wash the parts under running water with the supplied brushes, and explicitly says not to use a dishwasher or dish dryer. If fast machine-washing is a must, this is a poor fit.

Two facts that need a seller or manufacturer answer

The page lists product weight as 10.4 kg (23 lb), while the H-AI manual says approximately 6.4 kg (14.1 lb). The manual lists a 296 × 160 mm footprint and heights of 435 mm (Smart Hopper) or 437 mm (Dual Hopper); the page presents 160 × 296 × 435 mm. Keep a strict carry-weight requirement unresolved. Warranty is also inconsistent: the page says 10 years on the motor and two on parts, while the manual form says one year for the original purchaser. Ask for current written terms for an exact SKU and seller.

Who should keep it on a shortlist?

Consider the H-AI if you want a real choice between batch-style self-feeding and a smaller manual hopper, fine/coarse screening and a 500 ml working chamber, and you accept ingredient prep, a 30-minute ceiling and hand cleaning. Its Smart Hopper is the differentiator from H-AE/H-AF, which have single hoppers and different accessory lists. Choose another configuration if you need a published hopper volume, a known pitcher size, dishwasher-safe parts, a confirmed included ice-cream strainer, or a reliable lifting-weight figure. All three H-AI variants were sold out on Hurom's U.S. page at the check date, so a search query is not a stock promise. This is a source-based fit assessment; no personal ownership, yield, noise, taste, cleaning-time or durability test is claimed.
