Kuvings AUTO9 Hands-Free Slow Juicer review

A household vertical, hands-free auger juicer with a 2-liter produce hopper, 200 W rating, 60 rpm listing, and separate juice and pulp cups. It uses a juicing strainer and a blank/sorbet strainer; the U.S. page does not publish a receiver capacity.

A useful fit for

Consider AUTO9 if a 2-liter preloaded produce hopper, a 20-minute listed use window, and the maker-described juice/plant-milk/sorbet setups fit your routine. It is smaller in footprint and lighter than the AUTO10, but has no smoothie strainer and no stated cup capacity.

The main tradeoff

Its hopper capacity describes produce load, not juice yield or receiver size. The U.S. product page says use up to 20 minutes but does not provide a downloadable exact-model manual in the inspected public source set. The included receiver volume, numeric hopper opening width, and post-session rest interval remain unknown.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

The Kuvings AUTO9 is the smaller member of Kuvings’ current U.S. hands-free slow-juicer line. Its clear case is a prepared, preloaded batch: the maker lists a fixed 2-liter hopper, a powered auger, and a 20-minute maximum use time. That is a more modest routine than the larger AUTO10 family, not a claim about how many glasses a batch will produce. If you want a small, self-feeding auger juicer and do not need every attachment, the AUTO9 is worth comparing. If a large juice receiver, longer continuous session, or smoothie filter is essential, the published package does not confirm those needs.

A compact batch setup, not a measured juice yield

Kuvings lists the AUTO9 at 7.6 × 8.9 × 18.3 inches and 11.9 pounds, with 110–120 V, 50–60 Hz, a 200 W induction motor, and 60 rpm. These figures describe the maker-listed machine, not a counter-fit test or a performance measurement. The 2-liter number belongs to the produce hopper. The page includes a juice cup and pulp cup, but gives neither receiver capacity; do not mistake the hopper size for a two-liter juice pitcher or estimated yield. The maker does not publish a numeric feed opening in the product specification, either.

The hopper is the AUTO9’s main convenience. Load prepared ingredients, close the lid, and let the powered screw draw them into the strainer. This reduces continuous hand-feeding, but it is not a reason to leave a running appliance unattended. Kuvings says the AUTO9 hopper is bladeless, and its own model-comparison guide notes that some ingredients may need chopping to help the juicer process them. A no-prep promise would be too broad: use the written preparation instructions for the ingredients at hand, and alternate soft with hard produce in the order the maker recommends.

Its smaller attachment set is a real distinction

The U.S. box list names a juicing strainer, a blank strainer, pusher, juice cup, pulp cup, cleaning brush, and recipe book. The juicing strainer handles the maker-described juice and plant-milk route; the blank strainer is the supplied sorbet route. The U.S. FAQ explicitly says there is no smoothie strainer and no citrus attachment for the AUTO9. It does not have the AUTO10 rotation wiper, and Kuvings’ assembly guide shows a different order: the strainer goes over the screw, then the pair seats into the bowl. Follow the model-specific assembly diagrams rather than assuming the larger sibling’s parts are interchangeable. The maker says the AUTO10 hopper extension is not compatible with AUTO9.

Cleaning is still a hand-cleaning job. Kuvings’ page describes soap and water plus the included brush, and calls out opening the pulp-spout silicone for access. Kuvings lists a cleaning brush and a paper manual in the package. Its care instructions call for soap and water plus that brush, and say to open the pulp-spout silicone for access. Use the supplied booklet for the exact unit’s disassembly sequence; the simpler parts list is not a cleanup-free machine.

Use time and controls deserve a close read

The U.S. listing states a maximum 20-minute use period and describes a single 60-rpm speed and 200 W motor. The listing gives a 20-minute ceiling but no rest interval, so do not infer one from an AUTO10 sibling. If your usual routine would exceed 20 minutes, do not extrapolate the AUTO10 or AUTO10 Plus schedule; the models have different motors and published limits. The safety feature also requires the parts to be assembled correctly before operation. Kuvings’ model-specific guide explains that the AUTO9 strainer and screw must be fully seated and that the hopper locks onto the bowl. Treat that safety interlock as an assembly aid, not as a substitute for checking the parts before turning it on.

Who should compare it with the AUTO10 models?

The AUTO9 makes sense when a smaller hopper, lower listed weight, and fewer supplied attachments match how much you juice. Its body is lighter than the maker-listed AUTO10, but its listed height is 0.3 inch greater; measure your own storage opening and working space rather than assuming “compact” means shorter in every direction. Compare the AUTO10 if you want a larger batch hopper, a rotation wiper, smoothie strainer, and more cleaning tools. The AUTO10 page gives a 100 fl oz hopper and its FAQ rounds that to 3 liters. Compare the AUTO10 Plus if the included hopper extension and stainless-steel cutting blade matter; that package also includes a pulp strainer and smoothie strainer. Both larger models have conflicting U.S. runtime statements on their official pages, so ask Kuvings for the current written manual if uninterrupted session length is a deciding requirement.

Bottom line

Choose the AUTO9 for its maker-listed 2-liter produce hopper, hands-free batch routine, lower weight, and juice/plant-milk/sorbet attachments—not for an unverified receiver size, a smoothie strainer, or an assumed whole-fruit fit. Confirm the current color/SKU and written manual for the seller’s exact box. Kuvings lists Black and Silver finish SKUs as AUTO9B and AUTO9S; no functional finish difference is stated. The manufacturer page, rather than a numerical yield estimate or customer anecdote, is the basis for this assessment.
