SMEG CJF01 vs CJF11: compare the two citrus-press families
The SMEG CJF01 and CJF11 are both electric citrus presses built around the same everyday action: cut a citrus fruit in half, place it on a stainless reamer, and let pressure start the motor. Neither is a centrifugal or slow-feed juicer for apples, carrots, celery or leafy greens. If your main question is how their juice routine differs, the official U.S. pages do not document a different extraction mode, pulp dial or juice-yield advantage by family.
What is actually different
CJF01 variants have a die-cast-aluminum body and a regular Tritan cover and juice collector. Its U.S. finish codes are CJF01BLMUS black matte, CJF01WHMUS white matte, CJF01DGUS Sicily is My Love and CJF01DGBUS Blu Mediterraneo. CJF11 uses a plastic body and base, with its cover and collector made from Tritan Renew. SMEG states that Tritan Renew has 50% certified recycled content through an ISCC-certified mass-balance allocation process. Its seven U.S. codes cover black, cream, pastel blue, pastel green, pink, red and white finishes.
Both product pages list a stainless-steel reamer, strainer and anti-drip spout, automatic operation when pressure is applied, 120 V/60 Hz, 166 mm width, 7.5-inch depth, 11-inch height and 6-pound net weight. Check those dimensions against the shelf and leave a working gap above and in front. The outlet sits over a glass you supply; neither product page gives the juice collector a usable capacity or lists a lidded pitcher.
Care is a more useful tie-breaker
The CJF01 manual says its cone, cover, strainer and juice collector can go in the dishwasher, while the motor base is wiped with a damp cloth. It tells users not to operate the juicer for a long time and to let it cool, without naming a maximum number of minutes. CJF11’s manual also names four dishwasher-safe components, but explicitly says to detach the anti-drip spout and wash it separately under running water. If every removable piece must be dishwasher-approved, CJF11’s manual does not confirm that; follow its separate spout instruction rather than assuming that one safe part list covers all of them.
Neither manual supplies a numeric continuous-run limit. CJF11’s troubleshooting page says to wait 15–20 minutes if its motor-protection cutout is triggered; that is a recovery step after a stop, not a routine run/rest schedule. The product pages also conflict on power: their feature text says 70 W while their technical field says 80 W. Treat that figure as unresolved and do not use wattage to infer performance.
Which one fits your counter routine?
Choose CJF01 when the die-cast body or a matte/Dolce & Gabbana finish is the deciding detail and the integrated spout plus dishwasher-listed parts suit your cleanup. Choose CJF11 when you want one of its seven colors or the maker-documented Tritan Renew material, and do not mind rinsing its removable spout separately. The published size is essentially the same, so the body material is not a reason to assume a smaller footprint or higher yield. Either way, halve the fruit yourself, press gently to avoid bitter pith, empty the collector, rinse the mesh before pulp dries, and use a different class of machine for non-citrus produce.
