Hamilton Beach Easy Clean 67735J vs 67870 vs R67870

Hamilton Beach’s 67735J, 67870 and recertified R67870 share the Easy Clean name and a centrifugal basket, but the exact pages do not support treating their purchase packages as interchangeable. Start with the receiver and warranty you will actually get, then check the space around the machine.

67735J800 W, two speeds, 3-inch chute, 80-oz external pulp bin, 14.4 H × 11.5 W × 7.8 D inches; 3-year U.S. limited warranty. The exact page and its linked guide do not establish an included cup or its capacity. Plan to provide a glass unless your exact box confirms otherwise.
67870800 W, two speeds, 3-inch chute, 80-oz external pulp bin, 16-oz juice cup, Easy Sweep tool, 14.5 H × 12.2 W × 8.2 D inches; 3-year limited warranty. The maker confirms a small receiver; it is not a large batch pitcher. This is the widest and deepest body of these three listed configurations.
R67870Recertified offer using the same listed 67870 juicer setup and dimensions; the page says accessories/manuals are included. The exact recertified page says a 90-day warranty, not the standard 67870’s three years. The maker’s page does not detail condition grades or return terms.

Do not read the pulp-bin number as a pitcher

An 80-ounce external pulp bin has room for separated solids. It does not tell you how much juice a load of produce will yield, nor how much the supplied cup holds. Only the 67870 and R67870 pages explicitly list a 16-ounce juice cup; the 67735J page does not settle receiver inclusion or size. For a 32-ounce minimum juice vessel, neither confirmed 16-ounce offer qualifies and the 67735J is unknown rather than a pass. Bring your own larger glass or look at a model whose exact page confirms a larger receiver.

All three pages list a three-inch opening and two-speed, 800-watt centrifugal extraction. The 67870 and R67870 manuals share the CJ28 underlying machine instructions; the 67735J uses a different CJ14 guide. Both guide families describe firm foods on HI and soft fruit or leafy greens on LO, gradual feeding, a sharp mesh basket, and prompt basket cleaning. These similarities support one style of recipe routine, not a measured ranking in juice yield or sound.

Choose by warranty and counter fit

The standard 67870 and R67870 have the same listed body size, so the recertified listing does not solve a tight-space problem. Compared with 67735J, the regular 67870 stands just 0.1 inch taller on paper, but is listed 0.7 inch wider and 0.4 inch deeper. The actual counter plan must also leave room for the side bin, cup, pusher, cord and cleaning. Measure your shelf and working space; these are manufacturer body dimensions rather than a tested clearance envelope.

The standard 67870 page lists a three-year limited warranty; its linked manual gives the U.S. household terms and original-purchase condition. R67870 is a separate recertified offer whose exact page says 90 days. That short offer may be acceptable for a shopper who values the same documented juicing setup and is comfortable with the stated coverage, but it should be ruled out when a year or more of household coverage is essential. The page does not spell out a condition grade, cosmetic standard or return promise, so read live terms rather than infer them from the word “recertified.”

Care and alternatives

“Easy Clean” is an accessory and routine aid, not maintenance-free. The exact 67870 pages list the Easy Sweep tool. The manual allows washing removable parts in a dishwasher but forbids SANI and the motor base. Rinse and brush the basket promptly, use its tool carefully around sharp cutting edges, and inspect the mesh before use. If you require a SANI cycle, these models are poor matches.

If you want a wider chute and a documented larger lidded vessel, compare the 67906 Professional Super Chute, which is larger in depth and height. If you want a shallower body and can accept one speed and a separate glass, compare the 67702. None of these comparisons substitutes for checking the exact model and the current package.
