Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does a 1.6-inch listed chute meet your minimum?
The Original page lists 1.6 inches; use the manual’s prep rather than assuming whole produce fits.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a pasta-making kit essential?
The Original refurb box list does not include pasta-making parts; the Gold refurb box does.

The older Original manual gives a hand-cleaning routine but does not confirm a dishwasher-safe claim.
Explore this need in the finder →The refurbished Tribest Greenstar Original GS-1000R-B is the most basic package in this five-model twin-gear group. Its manufacturer box list includes an open homogenizing blank and fine screen, but not a coarse screen, closed breadstick blank, breadstick knob or pasta set. The listed 1.6-inch chute and 110-rpm speed match the Gold, but this older manual limits continuous use to 30 minutes before a 10-minute rest. The maker’s current page and linked manual disagree on dimensions, weight and wattage, so treat hard-fit and lifting questions as unresolved.
“Original” means a simpler included kit
Tribest calls this the Greenstar Original Basic twin-gear slow masticating juicer. Its exact refurbished page lists a 1.6-inch opening, 110 rpm and 120 V/60 Hz/190 W. The box list names the fine screen and open homogenizing blank, but it does not list a coarse screen or a closed breadstick blank. The manual shows that Greenstar food-processing accessories exist as separate parts; the exact refurb page does not say they are included. If you need a second pulp screen, shaped breadstick outlet or pasta maker from day one, the Gold package is the stronger documented fit.
The Original can still switch between ordinary juicing and the open-blank food-processing route listed in its package. The manual describes using the open blank for grinding foods such as nuts and seeds and recommends changing parts only when the appliance is stopped and unplugged. For juicing, it says to align the twin gears’ locating dots, fit the fine screen, secure the casing and feed prepared produce gradually. Thick roots need lengthwise prep; leafy material and softer produce call for the user to watch for back-feeding and adjust the outlet knob. The manual warns that very soft fruits such as strawberries and bananas do not juice well through the screen. No exact-model output test is available here.
Mind the older manual’s work/rest and cleaning advice
The manual says to stop after each 30 minutes of continuous operation and let the machine rest for 10 minutes. That is shorter than the Greenstar 5’s 40-minute session. Its older manual does not explicitly say the removable parts are dishwasher-safe, unlike the G5, Pro and Elite manuals. Follow the hand-cleaning route: unplug, disassemble, use warm water and mild detergent with the cleaning brush, clear the pulp outlet and dry the parts. Tribest warns not to let water enter the motor body and recommends cleaning right after juicing so residue and mineral deposits do not dry on. The current refurb box list includes a brush but no scraper set.
Measurements and power conflict across sources
The current refurbished page lists the body at 19 × 6.5 × 13.3 inches and 29.7 pounds, with a 190-watt U.S. rating. The linked GS-1000 manual’s final product-standard table gives 476 × 165 × 306 mm, 8.7 kg and 180 W. Converted approximately, those are about 18.7 × 6.5 × 12 inches and 19.2 pounds. The width/depth values are close, but height, weight and electrical rating differ. The current specification table’s axis order is stated as W × D × H; the old manual’s sequence is not labeled with axes. These conflicts mean the current listed numbers are useful clues, not reliable hard thresholds for the particular machine being sold. Leave room and ask the seller to measure the actual refurbished unit before relying on storage clearance or lifting weight.
The current U.S. page lists the exact base code GS-1000-B with the same five-year household warranty; the linked 2011 manual covers the Green Star model. The separate refurbished offer uses GS-1000R-B and was available in its structured listing on October 23, 2026. Tribest describes that offer as inspected and reconditioned and makes refurbished sales final with no refund or return. The R code and these condition-specific terms belong to that exact offer, not every GS-1000-B listing. Reconfirm the seller’s exact code and written terms before ordering.
When the Original makes sense
Consider the Original if you want a source-documented horizontal twin-gear juicer with a basic fine-screen setup and open processing blank, and the package’s lower accessory count is enough. The Gold adds a coarse screen, breadstick kit and pasta set, but is listed even heavier and its manual also conflicts on specs. The Elite offers a narrower opening and 12-year refurb warranty; the Pro has a similar basic gear approach but includes a closed blank and a 15-year household refurb warranty. The Greenstar 5’s 40-minute session and newer cleaning directions may suit larger runs better. These models share a family resemblance, not identical packages, service instructions or documentation.
Review basis: Tribest’s Original refurbished listing and its linked manual. The official product image depicts the GS-1000 base model, not a particular refurbished unit or condition. The manufacturer does not state whether that image is a photograph or render. No hands-on testing or yield, effort, sound or durability measurements were made.
