Tribest Greenstar Gold review

Current U.S. horizontal twin-gear slow masticating juicer with included breadstick and pasta configurations; the 5-year household offer and package are separate from the refurb R-code listing.

The active U.S. page identifies GP-E1503-B, includes breadstick and pasta-making parts, and states a 5-year household-use warranty. The matching refurbished offer uses GP-E1503R-B and has its own exact inventory and condition terms. The box lists are assessed separately; this model-page review explains their shared machine and the current versus R-code offer distinction.

A useful fit for

Consider it if the included pasta screen/guide set and breadstick kit matter enough to justify a heavier, multi-part setup and careful cleanup.

The main tradeoff

The 2011 manual and product page conflict on watts, weight and dimensions; keep hard fit/power unknown. Refurb R-code return and condition terms apply only to that exact sale.

The Tribest Greenstar Gold refurbished offer is the attachment-heavy member of this twin-gear line. Its listed 1.6-inch opening, 110-rpm motor and 30-minute work/rest instruction are paired with a pasta-making set and a breadstick kit in the box. That included pasta gear is the clearest reason to choose Gold over the simpler Original. Its listed 33-pound weight, 20.6 × 7.5 × 13.3-inch dimensions and 190-watt rating conflict with the older linked manual, and its household refurb warranty is five years rather than the longer Greenstar 5 or Pro terms.

Look at the kit, not the “HD” label

Tribest identifies the Gold as a horizontal twin-gear slow masticating juicer. The exact page lists a 1.6-inch chute and 110 rpm. For juicing, the fine screen is described for a smoother/less-pulp setup and the coarse screen for some pulp. The outlet knob changes resistance as produce enters the gears. Those are two different screens for a juicing session, not separate speed settings. The manual recommends short, prepared pieces, one item at a time, and different knob tension for roots, greens and softer produce.

The Gold’s refurbished package includes the open homogenizing blank, closed breadstick blank, breadstick guide, pasta screen and pasta attachment, pasta screw and pasta guide, as well as the fine/coarse screens, pitcher, drip tray, two tampers and cleaning brush. The pasta setup replaces the twin gears with a screw and guide according to the manual, so it is a different configuration, not simultaneous pasta and juicing. The breadstick route is separate too. If these food-processing modes are the point of the purchase, inspect that the exact offer includes the listed pieces; do not infer them from the Gold name alone or from a generic Greenstar page.

The similarly named Greenstar Original is more basic in its listed refurbished box: it includes an open homogenizing blank and a fine screen, but no pasta set, coarse screen or closed breadstick kit. The Original manual identifies upgrade parts separately. The Greenstar 5, Elite and Pro offer closed blanks and breadstick knobs in their refurb box listings, but their pages do not list a Gold-style pasta kit. That makes Gold’s included food set more expansive without proving that the juice itself tastes, yields or stores better.

A heavy, hands-on countertop appliance

The current U.S. product page lists the base-code GP-E1503-B, the same 33-pound machine and 20.6 × 7.5 × 13.3-inch W × D × H body, with a five-year household-use warranty. The separate refurb page uses GP-E1503R-B and showed that one option available on October 23, 2026. It describes inspection/reconditioning and makes refurb sales final with no refund or return. Those condition and return terms attach to the R-code offer, not automatically to a base-code new unit; stock and written terms can change.

The linked older manual is not in complete agreement with the page. Its final product-standard table lists 34 pounds, a 505 × 195 × 320 mm size and 180 W, while the page lists 33 pounds, 20.6 × 7.5 × 13.3 inches and 190 W. The dimensions differ enough to matter under a cabinet or on a narrow counter, and the weight difference is relevant for storage. Treat these measurements and wattage as unresolved for a hard cutoff; ask for the actual offered unit’s measurement rather than choosing whichever source is convenient. Both sources agree on the family’s 110-rpm slow operation, but only the manual governs the older rest instruction.

Expect 30-minute runs and immediate cleaning

The manual says to stop after 30 minutes of continuous use and rest the juicer for 10 minutes before resuming. It also warns not to overload the feed chute, put hands or utensils inside, or assemble while plugged in. You need to align the gears, choose and install the correct screen or blank, lock the outlet casing and use the appropriate knob. This is not a machine to treat as a single universal setup.

Tribest emphasizes cleaning immediately because dried food and mineral deposits can collect around the screen and outlet. The manual explains a hand-wash routine with mild detergent and a brush but does not make a clear dishwasher-safe claim for this exact model. Do not assume the removable parts can go in a dishwasher simply because newer Greenstar manuals say so. The Gold manual also cautions against letting water enter the motor body. Its weight makes careful placement and a stable work surface more practical than moving it between cabinets every day.

Who gets the value from the Gold

Choose the Gold to consider if you genuinely plan to use the included pasta and breadstick attachments and accept a heavy, multi-part juicer with immediate hand-cleaning. It is a weaker fit if you want clear warranty/return flexibility, a short cleanup, a light appliance, or verified dimensions for a tight niche. The Greenstar 5 has a 40-minute session and 15-year household refurb warranty but no listed pasta kit. The Elite has a narrower chute and a listed 12-year warranty. The Original is less attachment-rich. For ordinary juice alone, compare the kit, counter space and exact refurb terms before paying for food modes that may remain in storage.

Tribest’s Gold refurbished page and manual are the basis for this review. The official product image shows the base GP-E1503 model and is not proof of the refurb unit’s cosmetics; photography-versus-render status is unstated. This is not a hands-on test: no pasta result, juice yield, pulp dryness, sound or cleanup time was measured.
