Explore this need in the finder →The Tribest Greenstar Elite refurbished listing is the narrow-chute, mid-warranty member of this five-model twin-gear group: 1.5 inches, 110 rpm and a stated 12-year household warranty on the refurb offer. It includes both juicing screens, open and closed processing blanks, a pitcher, tampers and cleaning tools. White, black and chrome refurb codes are listed; the Chrome option was the only one marked available at the October 23, 2026 check. The manual and current product page disagree substantially on weight, so do not choose it for a strict lift or counter limit without an actual measurement.
Its meaningful difference is a smaller opening, not a different extraction style
Greenstar Elite is a horizontal slow masticating juicer with twin gears. The current product page specifies 110 rpm, a 1.5-inch feed opening, 120 V/60 Hz/200 W and a 18.6 × 6.8 × 12.4-inch body. The Pro, Gold, Original and Greenstar 5 pages list a 1.6-inch opening. This half-inch difference may affect how much you cut before feeding, but neither opening means whole produce is guaranteed to fit. The manual recommends cutting thick carrots lengthwise, feeding only one piece at a time and changing the knob position if the ingredients back up.
The Elite uses separate fine and coarse screens: Tribest describes fine as the lower-pulp option and coarse as a way to leave some pulp in the juice. Both are preferences, not measured texture percentages. The open homogenizing blank is listed for foods such as nut-and-seed pastes; the closed breadstick blank and breadstick knob are for firmer foods shaped through the pulp outlet. The exact refurbished package includes both blank types and the breadstick knob. It does not list the optional pasta-maker set described in the manual. That makes the Elite more versatile than its name “juicer” alone suggests, but only if those parts are actually in the box you receive.
Read the setup and cleanup instructions before buying
Assembly requires aligning the locating dots on the twin gears and seating the drive and free-wheel gears fully before installing the screen and outlet casing. The machine must be unplugged during assembly and disassembly, the latches must close, and the safety hood must be fitted while running. This is a more involved path than a centrifugal extractor with an integrated basket. The manual’s produce-specific directions also matter: roots need preparation, leafy greens should be rolled, wheatgrass is fed in small handfuls, and the knob may need adjustment for softer produce. Tribest warns that very soft fruits such as strawberries and bananas are better blended or used in the sorbet/food-processing route rather than pushed through the juice screen.
The manual limits continuous use to 30 minutes, then calls for a 10-minute rest. It recommends immediate cleanup, particularly around the fine screen and gears, to prevent dried pulp and mineral buildup. All removable parts except the safety hood are described as dishwasher-safe; the main body must not be submerged or filled with water. A scraper and brush come with the refurb offer, and the manual provides a screen-cleaning method, but daily cleanup still involves taking the working assembly apart. This is a poor match if you want a machine that can be rinsed in one piece.
Check the measurements and sale terms, not just the finish
The current Elite specification table says the machine weighs 16 pounds, while the linked manual’s standard-information page lists 26.6 pounds. The product page’s 18.6 × 6.8 × 12.4-inch W × D × H specification is close to the manual’s 18.25 × 6.88 × 12.50-inch figures when rearranged to width, depth and height; this minor size discrepancy still argues for measuring when the opening is tight. Weight is a much larger conflict. Keep weight unknown for a hard lifting decision and check the actual unit, especially because the 12-year warranty is tied to the refurbished offer rather than the image.
Tribest’s current U.S. offer lists the corresponding base codes GSE-5000-B (white), GSE-5010-B (black) and GSE-5050-B (chrome), all available in its structured product record on October 23, 2026. The current offer page gives a 12-year household warranty. Its separate refurbished page adds R before the -B suffix; on the same check date, white and black refurb variants were unavailable and chrome was available. The refurb listing describes multi-point inspection/reconditioning and final-sale terms with no refunds or returns. Do not transfer those refurb condition terms to a current base-code unit—or assume the refurb stock remains available.
Who should shortlist it
Consider the Elite if you prefer a fine/coarse screen choice, a family of food-processing attachments, and an official listing for the Chrome refurb option with a 12-year household warranty. Do not assume it is the lightest Greenstar because the page and manual do not agree. The Greenstar 5 has a wider 1.6-inch opening and a 40-minute session, but its listed weight also conflicts with its manual. The Gold includes a pasta set and has a 1.6-inch opening, though its refurb warranty is shorter. The Original includes fewer processing parts. The Pro’s “commercial” name is qualified by a household refurb warranty, but its manual and page disagree on power and dimensions. These are not yield rankings; no juice output, pulp dryness, noise or effort was measured here.
The assessment uses the Elite refurbished listing and linked manual. The official Chrome base-model image illustrates the finish and machine design, not the condition of an individual refurb unit; the maker does not state whether it is a photograph or render.
