The U.S. listing identifies NJE3580U Silver and NJE3570U Chrome. It lists the same package and finish choices on one page; older NJE3540U/NJE3530U codes appear in official parts compatibility listings and are not claimed as identical packages.

A useful fit for

Consider the NJE if you want a horizontal masticating juice setup and expect to use some of the maker-listed pasta, grinding, mincing, or plant-milk functions on the same base. Its removable hopper is for small ingredients, not a documented hands-free batch chamber.

The main tradeoff

The exact page lists an included juice cup but gives no cup volume or numeric chute width. Dimensions are an unlabeled sequence, and the printed U.S. manual is not linked as a downloadable exact-model guide in sources checked; tool-change sequence, dishwasher permission, and session/rest limits remain unknown.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you want a horizontal masticating juicer rather than a fast centrifugal extractor?

Kuvings identifies the exact NJE as a horizontal masticating juicer and lists it at 80 rpm; this is a maker category and specification, not a speed or yield test.

Will a removable hopper for small ingredients help with your feed routine?

The NJE page lists a removable small-item hopper and pusher, but not a batch-loading volume or numeric chute width.

Do you want an included pasta-making attachment for a separate food-processing setup?

The exact page lists seven multipurpose nozzles and pasta extrusion. The E120511 manual maps pasta to the blank screen and one of four round/flat, small/large pasta nozzles; it is a separate stopped-and-reassembled configuration.

Do you need an included, manual-documented frozen-fruit dessert or sorbet setup?

The E120511 manual describes frozen-fruit ice cream and pineapple sorbet using the blank screen with a juicing or mincing nozzle. It documents a working alternate attachment configuration, not a separate sorbet-only component.

Is a supplied juice cup important even if its capacity is not published?

The exact U.S. box list includes a juice cup and pulp cup but gives neither capacity.

The Kuvings NJE is the unusual choice in this remaining Kuvings household lineup: a horizontal masticating juicer whose U.S. product page also lists seven multipurpose nozzles for pasta extrusion, coffee and spice grinding, mincing herbs and garlic, and nut or soy milk. It makes sense if you want one powered appliance to cover several jobs and will actually change the attachments. If you only want to press a glass of juice with the least setup, a vertical juicer or a centrifugal extractor is a simpler comparison.

Its value is the second job, not a wide opening

Kuvings describes this model as a low-speed masticating juicer and lists it at 80 rpm and 170 watts. The exact U.S. page calls it horizontal and includes a removable hopper for inserting small ingredients. That hopper is a guide for feeding pieces; the manufacturer does not publish a batch volume or describe it as an unattended preloading chamber. Nor does the page give a numeric feed opening. Treat its small-item hopper as a convenience for the juicing setup, not as evidence that whole produce will fit without preparation.

The notable extra is the seven-nozzle set. Kuvings says the machine can extrude pasta, grind coffee beans and spices, mince herbs and garlic, and extract nut and soy milk. A 2012 Kuvings-authored U.S./Canada manual scan identified as E120511 lists NJE-3570U and NJE-3580U in its model table, then gives separate tool setups: the juicing screen with the juicing nozzle for juice; the blank screen with the mincing nozzle for mincing; the blank screen with round or flat pasta nozzles for pasta; and the blank screen with the juicing and rice-cake nozzles for rice cakes. It also describes a blank-screen route with no nozzle for slush, ice crushing, or grinding. Those are separate configurations, not simultaneous jobs, and the product-page list’s nut/soy-milk and coffee/spice wording is not a one-to-one nozzle map in that table. The manual also describes frozen-fruit ice cream and a pineapple-sorbet recipe using the blank screen and a juicing or mincing nozzle. So the included blank screen does support a documented frozen-fruit dessert setup, although Kuvings does not name a dedicated sorbet-only part. No product test here measures texture, grind consistency, milk yield, or juice extraction.

Check what comes in the box

The current product page lists the motor base, juicing set, blank screen, hopper, pusher, juice and pulp cups, seven multipurpose nozzles, cleaning brush, and manual. The U.S. manual scan identifies eight nozzle types when its juicing nozzle is counted: a juicing nozzle, an extra juicing nozzle, a mincing nozzle, a rice-cake nozzle, and four pasta nozzles. The juice and pulp cups still have no published capacities. The manual makes one useful distinction the product page does not: a frozen-fruit dessert setup is described, but it uses the blank screen and a regular juicing or mincing nozzle rather than a named standalone sorbet part. It does not document a smoothie strainer in this package. If you need a particular attachment or exact cup volume, confirm the specific offer instead of treating “multipurpose” as a catch-all.

For comparison, the other Kuvings models in this set have a narrower primary purpose. The vertical SC has a 2.25 by 1.25 inch published feed opening and a detachable small-item hopper, while the NJ9500 is a high-speed centrifugal machine with two stated speeds. The NJE is for someone who values a horizontal manual-feed juice route and the additional listed processing functions. Its low-speed label alone does not establish a measured noise level, higher yield, or longer freshness.

Counter space, power, and finish codes

Kuvings lists 120 V, 60 Hz, 170 W, 80 rpm, and a 5-year limited warranty for the U.S. model. Its dimension sequence is 12.5 × 14 × 11.5 inches, but the page does not say which number is width, depth, or height. It lists the machine at 15.1 pounds. Measure the assembled body and the room needed above the hopper and beside the outlets; do not turn the unlabelled sequence into a strict cabinet-height or depth recommendation. The official listing identifies Silver as NJE3580U and Chrome as NJE3570U. It presents both finishes on the same product page and describes the finish choices, but does not explain a functional difference between the codes. Keep the exact code on an offer or replacement-part search rather than assuming every older NJE code is interchangeable.

Manual and cleanup limits

The exact U.S. product page does not link the paper manual it says is included, but a third-party manual-library scan bears the 2012 Kuvings copyright and names both current NJE codes. It specifies 30 minutes maximum continuous running time—not a recommended minimum batch—and gives no routine rest interval. It says to feed one prepared piece at a time without forcing large amounts, cut produce to roughly 4–6 inches long and 0.5 inch wide, and press STOP before REVERSE; reverse must be held, and changing straight from forward to reverse can damage the machine. For cleanup, most juicer parts may go on the top dishwasher rack at low temperature, but the juicing strainer is hand-wash only and the base must only be wiped, never immersed. The booklet’s 30-minute cooling advice is conditional troubleshooting if the motor will not restart after extended use, not a rest schedule after each session. That distinction matters if you need dishwasher-safe removable parts or a longer uninterrupted run: the former is not an all-parts yes, while the latter has a 30-minute ceiling.

Who should choose it?

Consider the NJE if you are interested in both juice and the manufacturer-listed pasta, grinding, mincing, or plant-milk functions, accept attachment changes between those tasks, and can work with an unmeasured juice cup. If you will never use the extra nozzles, compare a dedicated model instead: the SC is the more direct vertical slow-juicer alternative, and the NJ9500 trades an auger-style routine for a centrifugal basket and two speed choices. None should be treated as a performance ranking without comparative testing. The specific U.S. listing calls this model NJE3580U but also shows a Chrome NJE3570U finish code; verify the code and included tools on the actual offer. The maker's page, not customer reviews or hands-on measurements, is the evidence for this assessment.
