Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you want an electric cone press only for halved citrus, rather than a produce feed chute?
The Hurom CJ-B01Bxx manual shows rinsed, halved citrus placed on its cone; no apple, carrot or greens feed chute is documented.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need a stainless-steel juicing filter in the citrus setup?
Hurom lists a stainless-steel filter for the Citrus Juicer; that identifies material, not a promised pulp texture.
Explore this need in the finder →Is hand-powered pressing an essential requirement?
No. The handle starts a 100 W motor; the CJ is not a hand-powered press.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the removable juicing parts be dishwasher-safe?
The manual instructs washing the removable cone, filter and chamber under running water and does not confirm dishwasher-safe parts.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you require an included cup or a maker-specified receiving volume of at least 16 fl oz?
No cup or lidded carafe is listed and the chamber volume is unpublished; this press cannot meet a hard receiver-size minimum on current evidence.
Explore this need in the finder →The Hurom Citrus Juicer is a motorized press for halved citrus, not a general-purpose juicer. Its handle starts the cone, its integrated outlet has a drip-stop action, and the top assembly breaks into only a few pieces. That is a focused routine for oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit. It is not a shortcut for apples, carrots or greens, and the maker does not publish a receiving-cup capacity.

One citrus cone, with the handle doing the work
For a glass of fresh citrus juice, the setup is straightforward: rinse the fruit, trim the stem end if helpful, halve it, raise the outlet and set your own cup in front. The manual instructs you to press the handle until extraction is complete, then lower the outlet and lift the back of the chamber so remaining juice can drain. The machine’s handle action triggers the motor; this is not a hand-powered press. Its cone is listed at 90–120 rpm, and there is no separate speed selector or named pulp-control setting.
Hurom’s product page describes one finned cone for fruits from small limes to large grapefruit. That breadth does not mean every size needs no adjustment: the fruit still has to sit securely on the cone, and the manual warns against forcing the handle. Clear packed pulp from the filter if it begins to interfere with extraction. This is a dedicated reamer; the design does not provide a feed chute or an auger or centrifugal route for vegetables and orchard fruit.
What the chamber and materials mean in daily use
The body and filter are stainless steel; the cone and juice chamber are SAN (AS) plastic. That mix matters more than the broad word “metal”: the working cone is not stainless. The outlet lifts to reduce drips, but the machine does not include a carafe or a maker-rated juice cup. The chamber’s usable volume is not listed either. If you need a specified 16-, 24- or 32-ounce pitcher, the published evidence cannot confirm it; use your own appropriately sized cup and pour in batches.
Hurom lists the body at about 5.3 lb, with its product-dimension line headed “Max Height”; the manual gives 240 × 190 × 467.5 mm and 2.41 kg. The top handle needs hand clearance, so do not plan storage or use from a bare height number alone. The electrical rating is 120 V, 60 Hz and 100 W, with a 4.6-foot cord. These details make it a U.S.-mains countertop appliance, not an outdoor or cordless press.
Cleaning is brief, but it is hand-cleaning
Three working pieces sit above the motor: the cone, filter and chamber. They detach after the handle is raised and the fruit cover is turned, and the manual says to rinse or wash them under running water. Wipe the motor body with a damp cloth; never immerse or rinse it. Hurom also says not to put the appliance in a dishwasher, dryer or microwave and not to wash at 80°C or hotter. The manual’s safe routine is a quick rinse and immediate cleaning, not dishwasher convenience. Pulp caught in the filter can affect the next run, so a user who wants a no-rinse appliance should choose another style.
The manual rates the Citrus Squeezer for less than 15 seconds of operation. Treat that as a very short extraction interval, not permission for a long continuous run; Hurom does not publish a one-minute-or-longer operating window or a separate rest schedule. This is naturally suited to one or a few fruit halves at a time, not a long batch workflow.
Who should choose it—and who should keep looking
Choose the CJ when citrus is the whole job and a compact electric cone, its stainless filter, an integrated drip-stop outlet and quick top-piece washing are more useful than a large jug. The matching filter option is a separately listed stainless-steel strainer; the machine is not confirmed as dishwasher-safe. It is also not hand-powered, despite the maker’s comparison to hand squeezing.
For frequent mixed fruit-and-vegetable juicing, compare a slow auger machine such as Hurom’s H-series instead. For an occasional glass, a simple manual reamer avoids a motor and the under-15-second duty limit. For a household that needs a named collection volume, choose a citrus model with a published included pitcher instead. The current Hurom product listing was marked sold out when checked, so availability may change; no price or in-stock status is used as a buying promise here. The one-year limited warranty is stated on the product page and in the manual, subject to the manual’s original-purchaser and proof-of-purchase terms.
