Hurom Celery & Greens Horizontal Slow Juicer review

A horizontal single-auger juicer with a fine juice strainer and separate mincing strainer. Hurom’s U.S. page names celery, leafy greens, wheatgrass and roots; exact receiver capacity, axis-labeled dimensions, and a matching U.S.-market manual remain unconfirmed.

Sources checked 2026-10-24 · Our editorial approach

Hurom’s exact U.S. listing identifies GI-SBB08, GI-BBB08 and GI-LBB08 finish SKUs; the standard offer showed Sold Out when checked. An exact listing does not guarantee present stock.

A useful fit for

Consider the exact GI if you want a horizontal juicer documented for leafy greens and wheatgrass plus a separate mincing setup, and are comfortable with food preparation and hand cleanup. First match the appliance nameplate to the correct 120 V instructions; the U.S. page-linked PDF is a different-region version.

The main tradeoff

The U.S. listing was Sold Out at capture, and separate refurbished terms are different. Exact receiver capacity is unpublished, there is no confirmed coarse screen or dishwasher-safe parts, and page/manual dimensions and weight conflict. The supported fit is the included fine-screen juice setup plus a separate mincing attachment, not a blender or guaranteed noodle-kit package.

Hurom · horizontal slow juicer

The Celery & Greens Horizontal is Hurom’s single-auger horizontal model for people who repeatedly juice celery, leafy greens, wheatgrass and roots, rather than a general-purpose fast extractor. Its U.S. listing names a 50 mm feed opening, a fine juice strainer and a separate mincing strainer. The exact new-product finish SKUs were all marked Sold Out when checked; a separate refurbished offer needs its own condition and warranty check.

Pin down the exact U.S. version first

Hurom’s U.S. product-data object maps Silver GI-SBB08, Matte Black GI-BBB08 and Champagne GI-LBB08 as finish variants of one model. The U.S. page showed the standard offer sold out on October 24, 2026; stock can change, so a model search is not an availability promise.

Hurom has a separate certified-refurbished page for the same named model. Its terms are materially different from the standard listing: the refurbished page says five years of motor coverage and one year for other parts, while the standard U.S. page says ten and two. A product-data snapshot captured in 2022 mapped refurbished GI-BBB08-RM and GI-SBB08-RM, but it does not establish today’s available finishes. Check the selected SKU, included parts, return terms and written warranty rather than applying the new-unit warranty to a refurbished box.

A slow horizontal setup with a specific food-prep angle

The exact U.S. listing specifies a 150 W motor, 120 V / 60 Hz and a 77 RPM auger. A horizontal single auger and fine screen make this a masticating, not centrifugal, choice. The maker names celery, leafy greens, wheatgrass, beets and ginger. The opening is 50 mm (rounded on the page to two inches), not a whole-produce chute. Use the supplied pusher and prepare ingredients as directed; expect some cutting and staging.

Compared with Hurom’s classic vertical HP, HO and HT, the differentiator here is not a proven yield claim: it is the horizontal chamber and a separate mincing setup. Hurom’s exact box list includes a juice strainer and a mince strainer, as well as the motor body, chamber, auger, pusher, juice and pulp container set, pulp outlet, chamber lid, cleaning brush, and manual. The product-details section calls the juicing screen a fine strainer. It does not list a second coarse screen. The manufacturer advertises noodles, but the box list does not name the noodle nozzles shown in the manual’s noodle instructions. If noodles are the purchase reason, ask Hurom to confirm the exact offer’s nozzle set before ordering.

Respect the manual version and its run limit

The exact U.S. product listing and the GI Series manual copy mirrored at ManualsLib agree on 120 V, 60 Hz and 150 W; that manual copy also lists 77 RPM and says not to run for 20 minutes or longer. I found an important caveat: the manual directly linked from Hurom’s U.S. page and support manual index is a different GI manual version. Its specifications page says 230–240 V, 50 Hz and 64 RPM. The page’s 120 V / 77 RPM U.S. listing and the linked PDF therefore should not be blended into one unquestioned specification. Match the machine’s bottom nameplate to the manual for that exact GI version before operation, and contact Hurom if the supplied document does not match. For a conservative ordinary session, plan to stop before 20 continuous minutes; the source set does not establish a numeric cool-down interval.

The GI manual diagrams separate juicing and mincing stems and a noodle process. It says to clean promptly, wash the chamber assembly by hand, wipe the motor body with a wrung-out cloth, and keep parts dry. It prohibits dishwasher or dryer use. Stop before disassembly, use reverse only for a stopped auger as instructed, and do not force the feed. Quietness and output claims are not independently measured here.

Leave fit and capacity open where the sources do

Hurom’s U.S. product page gives dimensions as 309.8 × 160 × 365.7 mm and weight as 4.53 kg but does not label the dimension axes. The mirrored GI manual gives labeled width, length and height as 319 × 161 × 367 mm and 4.7 kg. The different values do not support a strict width, depth, height or lift-weight promise; measure a specific unit and leave clearance for the upright hopper, cord, cup and pulp container. The page marks chamber capacity “N/A,” and the included receiving containers have no stated volume. Do not treat the chamber or an unknown receiver as a batch-size or juice-yield rating.

The U.S. page’s broad copy mentions smoothies, nut milk, mincing and noodles, but the documented included mincing strainer is not an integrated blender. Pomegranate support, dishwasher-safe parts, a second juicing screen, an included ice-cream/sorbet screen and noodle-die contents are not established for this exact package. If any is essential, choose a model whose own box list and manual confirm it. The machine is a better paper fit for a shopper who values wheatgrass/greens documentation, horizontal feeding and an included mincing attachment, accepts hand cleanup and prep, and can verify the correct 120 V manual. It is a poor fit for someone needing a proven large receiver, a coarse-screen choice, a strict counter cutout, or a guaranteed 20-minute-or-longer continuous session.
