Tribest Slowstar SW-2000/SW-2020 vs Slowstar AI: different feeding and care routines
The Tribest Slowstar SW-2000-B/SW-2020-B and the Slowstar AI SWA-3 are not one juicer with an added automatic mode. They are separate vertical-auger products with different feed routines, controls, attachments and session limits. Compare the instruction set you will live with rather than relying on the shared Slowstar name.
Feed one piece at a time or use a hopper
The older SW-2000/SW-2020 manual describes a small-feed routine: cut fibrous produce into shorter pieces, split carrots lengthwise, remove hard pits and seeds, then feed ingredients gradually with the plunger. The manufacturer lists a 1.5-by-2.5-inch opening. That is not the same as an open-top batch hopper. It suits someone willing to prep and guide ingredients through a narrow rectangular opening.
The SWA-3 AI instead has a listed 1.5 L hopper, a quick-fill top and named presets plus a sensor-based mode. Those features change how ingredients are loaded and how the machine is controlled; they do not remove the need to prepare food. Its manual still lists foods to peel, pit or cut. Hopper capacity is produce loading volume, not juice-vessel size, yield or unrestricted whole-fruit fit.
Session length and cleanup are not interchangeable
For the older models, Tribest lists 47 rpm and 200 W, and the manual limits continuous operation to 30 minutes followed by a five-minute pause. The SWA-3 manual gives a 15-minute continuous-use limit and at least 15 minutes of cooling between extended sessions. These are documented operating ceilings, not comparative juicing-speed tests. The higher or lower wattage does not establish that one extracts faster or produces more.
Both systems call for hand cleaning rather than dishwasher use. On the older Slowstar, rinse out pulp, disassemble the juicing parts, brush them under running water and dry them fully; the manual also caps wash-water temperature at 80°F. The SWA-3 has a different screenless-filter assembly and its own hand-wash routine, including attention to the pulp outlet. If a dishwasher is essential, neither Slowstar path should be selected on a guess that removable means dishwasher-safe.
The older model’s extra tool is an attachment change
The standard SW-2000/SW-2020 family has a separate mincing attachment. It is a different housing setup: stop the machine and change configurations before using it. That is useful if the dedicated mincing recipes will actually be made, but it is not an integrated blender, and the attachment adds parts to store and clean. The SWA-3’s listed selling difference is its hopper and automatic mode, not the older Slowstar’s mincing configuration. Check the exact SWA-3 package and manual rather than assuming a tool carries across generations.
Be exact about model code and counter fit
SW-2000-B is the red standard model and SW-2020-B the silver one in Tribest’s model listing. The warranty table separately lists SW-2000R-B/SW-2020R-B alongside the standard codes. A previously viewed manufacturer refurb detail URL now returns 404, so current offer availability and condition terms are unverified. Keep the complete code visible and check the exact unit and written warranty when assessing a used or refurbished machine. Likewise, do not confuse the SWA-3GY-B with those older models just because both product names include Slowstar.
For the older pair, the manufacturer listing and manual disagree on body dimensions and weight, so no single hard-fit number is reliable from these sources. Check the physical unit, including space above its feed chute and the separate containers. The SWA-3’s listed dimensions belong to that exact model and do not resolve the older machine’s fit. If you need a strict shelf or lifting limit, favor a model with consistent published measurements or measure the exact item.
