Refurbished model comparison

Tribest Shine vertical juicers: base and refurbished offers compared

The three refurbished Shine vertical juicers share an auger-and-screen approach, but they do not share the same loading routine, container information or operating interval. The Multi-Batch SMB-1 and Easy SJX-1 use a hopper with a quick-fill opening; the SJV-107 is a simpler older-style feed-chute assembly. Compare your batch size and cabinet clearance first, then read the exact refurbished sale terms: one model’s warranty statements conflict, the SJV’s juice-container capacity is unresolved, and all three pages say refurbished sales are final with no refunds or returns.

The current standard U.S. pages also list separate base-code offers: SJX-1WH-A and SJX-1GY-A, SMB-1WH-A and SMB-1GY-A, plus SJV-107-A. The listed base offers state three-year household warranties. They are not the R-coded refurb sale variants compared below, so do not transfer those warranty statements to a refurbished order. The SMB refurb page still conflicts between one and three years; the SJV base and refurb pages both leave receiver capacity unresolved at 36 oz versus 32 oz.

Start with your feeding routine

The Multi-Batch manual describes filling its produce hopper for a batch, then adding ingredients through the Quick Fill Top during continuous feeding. The Easy manual describes the same broad two-routine choice: load its chute before switching on, or add ingredients through the flip-top slot while juicing. That makes either a plausible option if you prefer to stage several ingredients in the top before starting. Neither reviewed source publishes a numeric chute width, so “XL” on the Easy product name is not a measurable clearance promise.

The SJV-107 is also an upright auger juicer, but it uses a feed chute and pusher, not the SJX-1 flip-top batch system. Its manual says to chop produce into one- to two-inch pieces and feed slowly while watching that juice and pulp keep moving. That is more explicit prep work, but it is a useful instruction for fibrous foods and blockages. None of these manuals supports putting in whole produce indiscriminately. Cut celery and other stringy ingredients, remove hard pits, avoid frozen fruit and do not feed dry, hard foods the maker excludes.

Container size and session limits tell different stories

The SMB-1 manual lists a 23 fl oz / 650 mL juice container; the SJX-1 lists up to 27 oz / 800 mL. The SJV page’s specification table says 36 oz while the same refurbished page’s included-items list says 32 oz. Since the SJV documentation disagrees, leave its capacity unresolved rather than treating either statement as a hard batch minimum. A container’s labeled volume is also not a promise of juice yield.

Session planning is clearer. The SMB-1 and SJX-1 manuals allow up to 20 minutes of continuous operation. The SMB-1 manual calls for 30 minutes of rest between operations; the SJX-1 calls for 10 minutes, or a longer 20–30-minute cooldown if overheat protection shuts it off. The SJV-107 manual allows up to ten minutes per use and says to rest for five to ten minutes between operations. If you routinely juice a large harvest in a single sitting, that difference matters even though it cannot predict batch volume or speed.

Body dimensions can help with counter planning but are not a complete setup measurement. SMB-1 is listed at 7.2 × 6.1 × 15.2 inches; SJX-1 at 7 × 5.8 × 17.3; and SJV-107 at 5.5 × 5.25 × 19.5 inches. The SJV is narrowest in width and depth, but tallest. Check overhead access for hopper or chute removal and space beside the machine for the juice and pulp containers. Do not rely on cabinet-fit assumptions based on width alone.

Cleaning is hands-on across the group

Each manual recommends cleaning soon after use, washing removable parts with soapy water and using the included brushes to clear pulp from screens and outlets. Keep water off the motor base; do not immerse it or wash it under a running tap. None of these three inspected manuals confirms dishwasher-safe removable parts, so a strict dishwasher requirement is not met by the evidence available here. A quick-feed or “easy-clean” screen label does not mean that dried pulp can be left until later. The SJV’s silicone sealing ring needs to be seated correctly after removal; on the SMB-1, the pressure plug is removable for outlet cleaning, but its retaining screw is not meant to be removed.

Refurbished offer details can be as important as the machine

Tribest describes each as manufacturer-refurbished, like-new, inspected and reconditioned. Those are the maker’s claims, not an independent report on the cosmetic state of a particular unit. The official product images show base-model finishes; they do not show an individual refurbished item. The exact offer pages say all refurbished sales are final, with no refunds or returns.

The Easy page states a three-year household warranty and the SJV page also states three years. The Multi-Batch page’s description says one year while a separate warranty section says three years. Because the page is internally inconsistent, do not rely on a Multi-Batch warranty duration without written confirmation for the selected refurbished SKU. Finish-specific structured variants for both SMB-1 and SJX-1 were listed as available on October 23, 2026; the SJV default variant was also listed available that day. Stock can change, and the selected shade’s sale code is not interchangeable with the base manual model code.

Which one is the sensible starting point?

Choose the Multi-Batch to prioritize a shorter listed body and a 23 oz container, while accepting a longer rest period and unresolved warranty wording. Choose the Easy when its documented 27 oz container and quick-feed routine matter more than its taller 17.3-inch height; it offers the longest stated rest between sessions among the pair, but is still limited to 20 minutes of continuous operation. Consider the SJV-107 only if its narrow dimensions suit the counter and a short ten-minute run is sufficient; do not select it for a firm 32- or 36-ounce vessel requirement until the maker reconciles its capacity labels.

For any of the three, compare the manual’s duty cycle with the routine you actually expect to repeat. These are source-based distinctions, not comparative yield tests: no model’s juice output, pulp dryness, sound level, cleaning time or long-term durability was measured here. Check each Multi-Batch review, Easy review or SJV-107 review and recheck the manufacturer’s exact refurbished offer before purchase.

Start with the juice you want and the routine you will repeat.
