Angel AG-8500 vs AG-8500SFH: material grade and filter package

AG-8500 and AG-8500SFH share Angel’s documented 8500-series machine, but only the SFH package includes the alternate soft-fruit housing. Both have the same listed motor, speed and named SUS-316 juicing components. Decide first whether you need that filter in the box; the grade specification is a separate distinction from the housing package.

One base, two package identities

The exact U.S. standard offer is model AG-8500, SKU AGUS8500AE21, UPC 195893382910. Its page lists the standard housing filter and marks the additional soft-fruit housing not included. The separately listed AG-8500SFH is SKU AGUS8500AE21SFH, UPC 195893672363; its box includes both standard and soft-fruit housings. Both pages offer a U.S. 110–120 V / 60 Hz selection and show a separate 220 V / 50 Hz choice. These are distinct packages, not two motors or two simultaneously usable juicing routes.

For either package, Angel lists the same 180 W motor, 82 rpm twin-gear process, automatic reverse, jamming sensor, overheat sensor and SUS-316 twin gears, housing filter(s) and splash guard, with the motor base specified as SUS-304. The exact 8500 listings thus distinguish their named component material from the AG-7500 line, whose product pages identify SUS-304 for the corresponding gears, housing filter and splash guard. Angel’s statement that SUS-316 is more resistant to salt water and de-icing salts is the manufacturer’s material description—not a tested benefit in juice quality, safety or appliance lifespan.

What does the extra housing actually do?

Angel describes the soft-fruit housing for watery or softer fruits such as pineapple, berries and tomato. The manual depicts its larger-hole screen as an alternate to the standard housing. The standard filter remains the manual-documented setup for firmer produce, greens and its pomegranate recipe. If you often switch between those recipes and want both parts included, SFH is the package that supports that decision without another assumed purchase. If you only expect to use the standard filter, the AG-8500 contains the core setup without the second housing.

Changing to the soft-fruit housing means changing the juicing assembly before use. SFH does not mean a puree disc, a second machine or an automatic selector. The manual also discusses a wider-holed filter for daily wheatgrass; neither 8500 package lists that additional housing. Essential wheatgrass-housing needs therefore remain unmet by the soft-fruit kit.

Shared routine and limits

Both kits list a glass receiver and two plastic juice-and-pulp cups, but no usable cup capacity. You can require an included receiver and still reject the models for a hard ounce minimum. The product pages list the body as 19.5 × 7.75 × 10.5 inches and 20.8 lb; the shared family manual instead lists 20 × 7.5 × 11 inches and about 12 kg / 26.45 lb without a confirmed axis order. Do not treat either conflicting set as a verified tight-shelf or lifting measurement.

The manual calls for ingredient preparation, gradual feed and the supplied pusher, and recommends 30 minutes of running with a short pause. This is not a guaranteed batch volume or documented auto-shutoff. The gears, housing filters and splash guard are listed as dishwasher-safe; SANI-cycle approval and all cup/accessory care are not established. Rinse promptly and keep the motor base dry. Angel’s direct/authorized new-purchase policy lists limited coverage of ten years on the motor base and five years on the gears, housing filter and splash guard, but excludes consumables and limits use to household operation; confirm current written terms.

Choose according to what you will use

Choose AG-8500 if the standard filter is enough and you want the exact 8500 material listing without requiring the extra housing. Choose AG-8500SFH if the soft-fruit filter must be included and you will switch between its watery-fruit setup and the standard filter. If you want the extra filter but the maker-listed SUS-304 parts rather than the 8500’s SUS-316 parts, compare AG-7500SFH. If you need only a standard filter and SUS-304, compare AG-7500. The 8500 pair’s supported differences are material grade and package contents, not a stated difference in speed, cup volume or measured extraction performance.

Read the AG-8500 assessment for the standard kit and the AG-8500SFH assessment for the alternate-filter package. Exact receiver capacity, SANI approval, conflicting dimensions/weight and recall status remain requirements to verify elsewhere; an unknown should not be treated as a fit.
